About GAN TATTOO

Hi, I'm GAN.
I'm a tattoo artist based in Asakusa, Tokyo.

Before becoming a tattoo artist, I worked as a sailor and later as a gardener. Those jobs taught me something simple.

The sea is always moving. Gardens are always growing. People are always changing.

I believe tattoos change with the people who wear them. Because of that, I try to create tattoos that still feel right years from now, not only on the day they are made.

My work combines Japanese composition with traditional tattooing, using bold lines, solid black and balanced designs made to age well.
